How do I select a phone number for the first time?

Select a Phone Number for the First Time

NOTE: International dialing options will only be visible to customers who are authorized for non-US dialing. Contact your VHT Callback® cloud administrator for help with international dialing.

Selecting a phone number is the first step in provisioning numbers to a target type. The following steps are used to select a number for your target type, and you do not have any phone numbers in your list. Start by going to: https://callback.vhtcx.com.

Step 1: On the sidebar menu, select Phone Numbers.
Step 2: You will be prompted with a one-time message: You have no numbers.
Step 3: Click on You should select one.
Step 4: This leads to the Available numbers page, where you will provision your first phone number.
Step 5: Select the Country to view available phone numbers. The following is a list of available countries to choose from:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Ireland
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

Step 6: Enter the desired Area Code. This will narrow the results to include only available phone numbers with that area code.
Step 7: Click Provision to assign that number to your VHT Callback cloud instance.

NOTE: Once you click on the Provision button, you will be returned to the Phone Numbers (DIDs) screen. If you have provisioned multiple numbers, they will be listed here.

How do I select additional phone numbers?

How do I provision a selected phone number?

Provision a Selected Phone Number

Once phone numbers have been selected, you will need to complete the provisioning task by assigning them to a target type. The two kinds of Target Types are Call Target (used to queue callbacks) and SMS Interaction (used to send text messages to the user). The following steps are used to provision a phone number to a Call Target or an SMS Interaction. Start by going to: https://callback.vhtcx.com.

Assign to a Call Target

Step 1: On the sidebar menu, select Phone Numbers.
Step 2: Identify the selected phone number to be provisioned.
Step 3: In the Target Type column, click on Call Target.
Step 4: In the Assign Target column, select the appropriate Call Target from the dropdown menu.

Assign to an SMS Interaction

IMPORTANT: Before you assign a phone number to an SMS Interaction, first set up the interaction steps under Interactions > Create New Interaction.

Step 1: On the sidebar menu, select Phone Numbers.
Step 2: Identify the selected phone number to be provisioned.
Step 3: In the Target Type column, click on SMS Interaction.
Step 4: In the Assign Target column, select the appropriate Interaction from the dropdown menu.

How do I delete an existing phone number?

Delete an Existing Phone Number

The VHT Callback cloud system allows you to delete selected and/or provisioned phone numbers. To delete a phone number, begin at https://callback.vhtcx.com.

Step 1: On the sidebar menu, select Phone Numbers.
Step 2: Locate the phone number to be deleted.
Step 3: Click Delete Number in that number’s row.
Step 4: When prompted, click Delete Number to confirm the deletion.
